Obama seems to have a clear lead and drifting slowly higher. The next event is the VP debate. This looks to have only upside for the dems. Biden won't get blown out even if he makes one or more gaffes. Palin, on the other hand, has to pull herself together just to establish that she is qualified. Her recent performance with Katie Couric suggests this isn't a gimme.
Still, the format will be suitable for her to spout off enough rehearsed position statements to look marginally credible. I think the over/under is a modest but significant Biden victory.
